Definitions from the Oxford English Dictionary:
Dystopia – An imaginary place or condition in which everything is as bad as possible. (Usually in a lot of these books there has been an apocalypse or drastic change in life and a government of some sort has attempted to create a better world or utopia, but really they just end up creating a dystopia.)
Apocalypse – A disaster resulting in drastic, irreversible damage to human society or the environment, esp. on a global scale; a cataclysm.
